Study Review – Effect of aclidinium bromide on CV events in COPD

This review summarises a recent study on the effect of aclidinium bromide on major cardiovascular events and exacerbations in high-risk patients with COPD.

There has been ongoing controversy regarding the potential association of LAMAs with increased cardiovascular events in patients with COPD so this is a topical study.

Independent commentary is provided by Professor Christine McDonald, Director of the Austin Hospital’s Department of Respiratory and Sleep Medicine and Medical Director of the Institute for Breathing and Sleep.
