This review is a summary of an interesting dinner symposium chaired by Dr Jennifer Arnold (Marsden Eye Specialists, Sydney, NSW), focused on real-world evidence about the use of aflibercept in patients with wet age-related macular degeneration.
European experience with aflibercept use was presented by Professor Jean-François Korobelnik (Bordeaux University Hospital, Bordeaux, France) and by Mr Ian Pearce (Royal Liverpool University Hospital, Liverpool, UK).
Attendees at the symposium comprised ophthalmologists and macula specialists from around Australia, and key topics during the meeting included discussion of data from the RAINBOW, PERSEUS and other real-world studies of aflibercept.
