Dr Ian Kronborg

After doing his medical training at Melbourne University Dr Ian Kronborg worked at the RMH and completed his gastroenterology fellowship. He then worked at The WEHI and went overseas to complete his training at the University of Southern California. He returned to Australia and worked at Western Health eventually becoming Head of Gastroenterology and Clinical Services Director for Medicine. He also established the Drug and Alcohol service and was lead clinician for IT in Western Health. He has published research in hepatology, IBD and addiction. Associate Professor Paul Bird

Associate Professor Paul Bird

Paul Bird is a Rheumatologist in private practice and Conjoint A/Professor at the University of New South Wales. In addition to his clinical duties, he is the Director of Optimus Clinical Research, a clinical research center undertaking Phase 2, 3 and 4 trials of novel agents for the treatment of rheumatic diseases. He has completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (RMIT University) and his PhD thesis (University of NSW) examined the feasibility, reliability and validity of MRI as an outcome measure in patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA). Clinical Associate Professor Saxon D Smith is a consultant dermatologist in private practice in Gosford and St Leonards, Australia, and Clinical Associate Professor Sydney Adventist Hospital Clinical School, University of Sydney, Sydney. He has a special interest in biologics for the treatment of complex dermatologic conditions. He previously ran public clinics at Royal North Shore Hospital in surgical cutaneous oncology; immune-oncology management and surveillance in advance melanoma; multi-disciplinary team with plastic surgery on the management of hidradenitis suppurativa; multi-disciplinary team with neurology on skin diseases in neurology including management of adverse reactions of treatment; and dermatology in renal transplant patients... read more »
