Dr Anneke van der Walt is a Neurologist at Royal Melbourne Hospital and a Senior Research Fellow at the Melbourne Brain Centre at Royal Melbourne Hospital, Department of Medicine, University of Melbourne. Her research focuses on predicting outcomes in MS. She has a particular interest in optic neuritis as a model for neurodegeneration in MS, novel treatment of tremor in MS and MS cognition. Associate Professor Jeannette Lechner-Scott.

Associate Professor Jeannette Lechner-Scott.

Jeannette graduated at University of Heidelberg in Germany, where she also completed her PhD about pain pathways. She trained in Neurology in Freiburg, Germany and Basel, Switzerland, where she worked with Ludwig Kappos at one of the major MS centres in Europe. She developed together with Ludwig Kappos a training scheme for EDSS assessment as well as a tool for assessment over the phone. Since arriving in Newcastle she has started a multidisciplinary specialised clinic for MS patients.
