Dr David Gronow is currently Director of the Sydney Pain Management Centre and Director of Multidisciplinary Pain Services at Westmead Hospital. He commenced the first private multidisciplinary pain clinic in Sydney and the first inpatient cognitive behavioural program for pain. David is a Founding Fellow of the Faculty of Pain Medicine, Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists, and the Chapter of Palliative Medicine, Royal Australian College of Physicians. His interest is in behavioural management and neuromodulation analgesia and he has conducted clinical trials on opiates in chronic pain, pharmacological management of post herpetic neuralgia, intrathecal drug effects on analgesia and outcomes of behavioural therapy.
