Gavin Jackson

Gavin Jackson is the Intravenous Therapy, Clinical Nurse Consultant and an Emergency Department Clinical Nurse at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital. Gavin and his team were responsible for 1200 peripherally inserted central catheters in 2011, using real-time ultrasound insertion. The team has a success rate of 98%, with a very low risk of complications. Gavin and other clinicians, along with academics across Australia are developing an Australian Vascular Access Society.
