Associate Professor Mary Sidebotham is a registered midwife and is currently employed by Griffith University as the Program Director of Primary Maternity Care degree programs. She is a visiting Associate Professor at the Gold Coast University Hospital Queensland. Mary is the Deputy Editor of the Nurse Education in Practice Journal where she leads the midwifery section of the journal. Dr Kathleen Baird is a Midwifery Lecturer within the School of Nursing and Midwifery at Griffith University, Queensland, Australia and is the Director of Nursing and Midwifery Education, Women’s and Newborn Services, Gold Coast University Hospital.
