The annual Rotorua GP CME conference took place in June 2023 and cardiologist Mark Davis spoke at a symposium sponsored by Novartis. In this practical session, Dr Davis discussed the risks associated with heart failure, what the latest guidelines recommend as well as practical ways that general practice can diagnose heart failure and intervene early to keep patients well and out of hospital. There was a focus on the four pillars of heart failure treatment and which patients will benefit.
