Professor Tania Sorrell AM, FAHMS

Professor Tania Sorrell is Professor of Clinical Infectious Diseases, Co-Director of the University of Sydney Institute for Infectious Diseases and Director of the NSW Biocontainment Centre. She is one of the NSW and National leaders in research and clinical responses to COVID-19. Prof Sorrell chairs the COVID Expert
Committee of the Australian Academy of Health and Medical Sciences and has served on the national Genomics Health Futures Mission Expert Advisory Committee (2019-21), state and national advisory committees in Infectious Diseases (including COVID-19) and therapeutics and the Research and Human Ethics Committees of the National Health and Medical Research Council of Australia.
