Entecavir Product Review

This review discusses evidence in support of the use of entecavir (Baraclude®), a guanosine nucleoside analogue, in the treatment of hepatitis B virus (HBV) infection in a broad range of patients. There are currently several nucleos(t)ide analogues (NAs) approved for use in HBV treatment. However, not all NAs are considered equal, in terms of efficacy, safety profile and long-term toxicities, which can differ vastly dependent on the individual’s disease state.
