Study Review – Sleep loss exacerbates fatigue, depression and pain in rheumatoid arthritis

As part of our ongoing aim to bring you reports of interesting new studies, we have added a review of a study that evaluated the effect of sleep loss during part of the night on daytime mood symptoms and pain perception in patients with rheumatoid arthritis.

Independent expert commentary is provided by Dr Mona Marabani, a rheumatologist in practice in western Sydney. Dr Marabani heads the department of medicine at Canterbury Hospital, where she provides services in both general medicine and rheumatology.
