Professor André van Zundert

Professor Van Zundert has had a prolific clinical and academic career spanning 30 years and has a strong international profile, collaborating with other universities where he still holds a professorship (Ghent, Belgium; Maastricht, Netherlands, Udayana Indonesia) overseas and in Australia, at the University of Queensland, Queensland University of Technology and Victoria University). He enjoyed receiving some 16 international awards, 2 Royal Distinctions (from HRH the King of Belgium and HRH the Queen of the Netherlands), and received many Honorary Membership Awards of International Anaesthesia Societies. Throughout his career, Van Zundert focused on: improving patient care in anaesthesia; visualizing techniques used in anaesthesia; research in anaesthesia; teaching and simulation.
